Mother's Day Weekend

What a great weekend we had! We went to the boat, Luke had his first boat ride awake and sitting up! It was our first boat ride of the season. Jordan of course got in the water, so I decided to see what Luke would think of the sand. Well, he didn't seem to mind at all, as a matter of fact, he was crawling all over and then when he saw sissy in the water, well he had to check it out too! And was it ever cold, but neither of them minded at all! He was crawling along the shore line and laughing as the water would splash him in the face! Saturday eve we went to the Wellwood for dinner for my mothers day treat, yummy! Jordan and I split Dungenuss Crab Legs, of course! Got a little sunburn, not good:( Then as we slept Sat night the winds picked up and it sounded like a freight train, thought for sure the boat was come untied and who knows where we would end up, but that didn't happen, thank goodness! Came home Sunday since Jordan had a soccer game. We had a wonderful steak dinner and Nate got me some plants to make the back yard look a little prettier! Jordan made me a "3 things I like about my mom"....1. she makes me food,......2. she gets me clothes......3. she takes me to Dutch Wonderland........... Simple standards to live up too!! That about wraps up my mothers day weekend, it was a good one!

Well this past weekend was crazy busy! We had a garage sale at Nate's grandma's house and sold lots of stuff! Yea!! Then later on Saturday, Jordan, Luke, Nanu, grandma and I went to watch the parade at Buchanan Park and listen to the Marine Corp Band. On Sunday we went down to the boat and hung out (while Nate worked on getting it ready for splash down)! Would have been a good weekend to be "in" the water! So here is a picture of Luke watching the parade and one of him trying on his life jacket, he didn't seem to mind it, not that he will have much choice in the matter!

Easter Weekend 2009

We left for Pittsburgh Good Friday at 6am! Hit a little rain on the way out, but over all had a decent travel time. Checked into our hotel and then headed to the North Side to the Children's Museum. Jordan loved it! On Saturday we all, Nate, Jordan, Luke, Nate's parents Barb and Bill and Grandma headed to the Pittsburgh Zoo. It was a beautiful day! Saw lots of cool animals. After that we headed to the hotel for a rest and went swimming. Jordan of course is our fish, but it seems that Luke will also enjoy our love of water! For dinner we headed to Station Square and since Bill forgot the GPS and we let Nate drive, we took the scenic tour of Pittsburgh, but we finally found our way, thanks to our navigator (that was me!). Boy was it windy there!! On Sunday we had to head home, but not without one last swim! What a great Easter! Thank you Barb, Bill and Grandma!!
